I have a playspace of around 8 x 6. Enough room to play The Golf Club VR without issue, but not enough room to play Everyday Golf for 2 reasons. First, you can't reposition yourself in the game world without physically moving in the real world, as you can in TGC.Secondly, for some reason, the developers think it's a good idea to position you almost on top of the ball when hitting longer clubs and 6 feet from the ball when you're hitting wedges, which makes absolutely no sense at all and requires that you take at least 4 steps back when using the driver and 4 steps forward when hitting your putter. This is regardless of how you set up your playspace and your standing position.Refunded. I may revisit this when the developers get a clue and provide the basic functions required in VR, like recentering/repositioning etc...If you have a roomscale setup, the golf itself isn't bad, but is incredibly arcadey. If you enjoyed games like Links and The Golf Club, this probably isn't for you. If you enjoyed games like Neo Turf Masters and Irem Skins Game then you'll probably get a lot of fun out of this. The game also has a shop. I don't know if real cash is involved but at £29.99 it better ♥♥♥♥ing not be.Played on Oculus Rift with Touch.. Wow. This is what i have been looking for in a golf game in VR. So much fun. I wish you could move around a bit more in thew world but it makes up for that in great gameplay. It starts off tough but as you buy better gear yo get better and i think you improve over time as well. Its a lot more forgiving than the golf club but not as much of a simulator. But the devs seem very active and the holes i have played so far are all really fun. If they had multiplayer it would be up there in my highest played games i am sure. Still loving single player.. First - I've been a golf game fan for years, at least since playing Tiger 2008 on the 360. It's hard to find comparably good golf games on the PC, much less in VR. This one does a pretty good job of it. It's kind of like being inside an EA sports golfing title from maybe a few years ago - which is definetely not a bad thing at all, in fact, it's great.I had originally purchased The Golf Club VR based on it's reviews - primarily that it was regarded as a more accurate 'simulation' rather than just a game. I refunded that game and got this one which is in my opinion MUCH better than that one. I think because of all of the reviews I thought that this one would not have a realistic feel, but, it absolutely does. This game runs well (at least on my fairly high end rig) as where The Golf Club VR does not. It's fairly pretty and does not drop frames, unlike the other game which is ugly and blurry no matter what. The swing mechanics are good - I do prefer the way they represent your swing path with lines in the other game, but, this game just has so muich more going for it that I'm going to look past the little details. This is actually a 'game' - it has you progress through courses in a single player mode, and it also has a multiplayer (trade-the-headset) mode, which is awesome for having friends over (haven't tried this yet, but I'm really glad it has this feature).I was afraid the putting would suck on this one because of the other reviews. I think it's fine - it is difficult, but, real putting is also difficult and this seems fairly accurate. I think I might have liked the putting in The Golf Club VR slightly better, but with all the other problems that game has, it's not a fair trade off at all for this fairly great putting system. The music and ambience is better in this game but I wish there was a volume for it instead of just 'on' or 'off'.I wish you could re-center your play space or change the direction of your shot (also moving the play space). Because you can't, you just need to plan to have an extra large play area. It also positions the ball about 6 inches outside the play area - for me this is fine because I have a little room for a swing slightly outside the play area, but if I really want to hit it at a different angle, it could get difficult. It really needs a re-centering option or at least the option to position the ball somehwere else in your play area. This is a downside of this game, and probably the biggest IMO. The bright news is that it's much less common in this game that I actually need that feature - but when I do, man, I would really like to have it. Either way, I would absolutely recommend this game especially over the other one. This is the best VR golf we have until someone else does it better, or the developer actually fixes these somewhat minor issues which would make it pretty much perfect. If they fix this, I would be very happy to update my review.. very quick review after a very quick go, realise not played for long. The problem I have is I bought this for the multi player option that The Gold Club VR doesn't have. But the golf club is a much much better golfing experience. After playing that today then switching to this, really disapointed. I would not recommend.. This is a game best suited to the casual golf fan (which I am). The presentation of this game is good. Beautiful UI, attractive courses, easy to get into and play. The feeling of swinging and hitting feels accurate (albeit assisted in power) in the long game. Unfortunately, the putting game is a bit off - at the shortest distances it feels fair. At medium range distances (4-20 yards) it feels very difficult to dial in the correct amount of force. This could be remedied by a better practice system (one that lets you repeat putts from any distance, location, hole); but the practice system is a very barebones tutorial that lets you take 5 swings from 4 distances on one hole. It's not an insurmountable obstacle though - you just need a feather touch for putting. The rest of the game is great.I also bought Golf Club VR at the same time. While that game appears to be much more accurate and fully featured, it's presentation and UI is also comparatively lacking. The swing and motion of the long and short game is more accurate, but also means that I have difficulty pulling off reasonable distances on shots. Performance and appearance also feels inferior to Everyday Golf VR.In essence, Everyday Golf VR is trying to be the Everybody's Golf of VR in name and feel; making the game more accessible to a wider audience. It largely succeeds, is well polished, but still has some issues that need to be sorted for it to truly shine. At $40 USD, it's steep for a VR game, but a relatively cheap and highly enjoyable golfing experience. If you enjoy golf from time to time, but you're not after simulation quality mechanics (the feel of the swing feels good and accurate, but boosted), then this is a good game to have in your library.. too arcadey. compared against the golf club vr. There is no way to adjust your club height so if you use an accessory to mimic a golf club, you will run into problems.. I love the idea of this game, the graphics are awesome and the golf swing feels great. I own both this game and the Golf lub VR which is this games main competitor in the VR space and this game should/could wipe the floor with TGCVR on so many levels but it doesnt. On the Oculus Rift I find the golf swing so unreliable and unpredictable that one minute I am hitting a great shot, the next is out of bounds. I'm not sure if I am swinging too fast but each shot results in a riduculous hook or slice but ocasionally a good or great shot. I played golf in real life so have an idea how to swing a golf club but somehow the game is not translating that in the game properly - i.e. if I have a bad swing I would usually expect the same bad shot to happen regularly - not the random hook/slice I get right now.I would love to recommend this game, god knows I have perservered Everyday Golf but I would say to my friends and steam users reading this (particularly if you have an Oculus Rift) to stay away from this game for now until these issues can be fixed. TGCVR is single player only and is not as nice a game as this is graphically but works much better in practice. It's such a shame and I hope the developers can fix this issue real soon as I would love to play this properly,. I watched SweViver's YouTube Video on this Game and I was Sold...Purchased while on Sale! Note: I'm Not A Serious Golfer...But, I do pretty well overall... VR Everyday Golf is Fun! Pros: -Beautiful Graphics - Cool Replay Screen - Information Screens Look Sharp and Easy to Read - Alot of Fun Courses to Play!Cons: - Controls need improving... Not Realistic Feeling... I Enjoyed Playing this Game and Hopefully Once The Controls get Worked Out! It will be even more Enjoyable! Rather, it is Raining,Snowing, Or Too Hot OutSide...I Can Play Golf Everyday! via VR Everyday Golf! :-). I just recently got a rift and was exploring VR golf for the first time. I couple of days ago I reviewed TGC VR and couldn't reconmend it because of its extreme difficulty. That led me to this game, which I thought may be less 'sim-like'. Well, as they like to say "Be careful what you wish for". Firstly, this is the only VR game, app, tool, etc. that I have tried that has crashed my system. A lot. Like 3 times in 15 minutes. Not good. When I was actually able to play a little of the game it was a trainwreck at best. There is no sense of weight to the clubs and a feeling of being disconnected with the action. Worse, there seems to be a problem in regards to the tracking with my touch controllers. Several balls that I hit went BEHIND me ; most went the wrong direction of where/how the ball was struck. My gamespace works in everything else, including TGC, so I trhink the problem is specific to this game. When I finally made the green the putting was as bad as I could imagine. Again, no sense of feel or touch when stricking the ball. If the ball gets up close to the hole it concedes and you can't putt out. I hate that. Also, the hazard areas seem to be right off the green; miss by 10-15 feet and you in a 'hazard'. That's just dumb. And to top it off there's this annoying female voice that keeps nagging you when you don't do well--which is most of the time :).I'm not sure what Steam's refund policy is but I'm going to request one for this game, especially since it tends to crash more often than not. I applaude the developer for making the effort and hope they work at refining the product. Maybe someday there was be a VR golf game worth playing. But not today.. Playing with the Oculus Rift, it seems that my clubs are too short, or my in game character is standing too tall. To hit the ball, I constantly have to reach down about 8 inches from the floor just to swing. I'm basically hunching down like Quasimoto just to play. It seems like a fun game, but this flaw is a major inconvenience. Is there a setting that I'm missing to move your position up and down similar to Sports Bar VR? Thanks.
